Come celebrate the new and remodeled sections of Mecosta County General Hospital on Thursday, June 16, 2005. The ribbon cutting for this grand opening is at 5:00 p.m. by the front main entrance.
This is the same date of the hospital's Ice Cream Social, which will be held from 6-9PM also outside by the front main entrance of MCGH. June 16 is also the date of the official name change to "Mecosta County Medical Center".
Public tours are available so the community can walk through the new completely redesigned 12,000 square foot Emergency Department, 14,000 square foot Surgical Services area, Laboratory, Registration Department, and gift shop.

Mecosta County General Hospital Foundation Announces the "Fountain of Hope"

The MCGH Foundation recently announced that the Fountain of Hope, a donor recognition water feature located in the hospital's main lobby, will recognize
community members who donate at various levels to the MCGH
Foundation.

The donations are divided into three levels. They are:
Promise $1000 $2,999
Hope $3,000 $4,999
Horizon $5,000 or more
Several donations have already come in. We would like to offer you an opportunity to give to the Foundation. Your donation will assist in benefiting MCGH in the mission to continue to provide, "Advance Care with a Personal Touch."

Once the donations are received they are put into the various
levels dependent upon the amount of the donation.
On May 1st a list of names of those who donated will be sent in to be etched in glass which will hang in front of the water feature. The fountain will be unveiled on June 16th during the MCGH Auxiliary Ice Cream Social.
The Foundation project was fully financed by the MCGH Foundation using no public funds. Its intended purpose is to recognize individuals, families and businesses who have monetary contributions of a thousand dollars or more to assist the Foundation's mission.
