History:
In 1993, MHS started as a small Rural Health Clinic, serving pediatric needs of this community. Laurel Gorham, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Erinjeri, Pediatrician, worked to develop MHS as a subsidiary company of Mecosta County General Hospital - with the purpose of assuring adequate access to physician care in the community.
With a need for adult care access in our community, Scott VanderHill, MD and Paul Nora, MD joined the practice. Over the course of 10-years, several providers have been a part of MHS. Laurel and Dr. VanderHill have been the anchor pieces of the practice and today they have a solid team of health professionals.
Governed by a six-member Board of Trustees appointed by Mecosta County, MHS now has 6 Family Medicine Physicians, a Dermatologist, a Physical Rehabilitation physician, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, 3 Family Medicine Physician Assistants and a team of 43 support members.
