MHS Canadian Lakes Construction Update
The Canadian Lakes Office building project is progressing nicely. The exterior brick work is complete, with the vinyl siding install to begin any day. All exterior stairways and landings are roughed in. Inside, the walls are framed for all of the MHS suite, on the upper level. Heat ducts, wiring and plumbing are next on the agenda! These pictures show the scenic view from the waiting room over the water front, and the main reception area of the MHS suite.

The project is planned for completion in March 2004. Medical office space is available for lease on the first floor.

We are proud to be a part of this vital, growing community and what better way to show it than to invest in the future! We will continue to update you regarding the Canadian Lakes office until completion. Contact Sam Daugherty, MCGH CEO for more information.

Managing Stress during the Holidays
Different types of stressors
in our lives
:
  • Common to most families, such as the birth of a baby, adding a new family member through a marriage or the death of an elderly family member.
  • Others common to many but not all families such as divorce, remarriage or chronic illness.
  • Stress originating outside of the family but impact family members,

such as the recent national tragedy or the loss of a job due to recession.
  • Within the family: Alcoholism, severe illness and marital discord.
  • Some are short-lived and minor, such as the car breaking down or a mistake made at work.
Manage holiday stress:
  • Be realistic/don't try to please everyone.
  • Avoid unpleasant family conflicts.
  • Keep up a regular routine of exercise or start one.

  • Use moderation with holiday spending and entertaining.
  • Have a sense of humor.
  • Help others: The holidays are a time for giving and doing so can put your own stresses into perspective.
  • Find time in your schedule to slow down and enjoy family and friends, and yourself.
