Auxillians were recognized at the July 28 Hospital Board meeting for their donation of $10,000 from Gift Shop proceeds this month, as well as for an earlier $5000 donation.
They also created a wonderful community event at the Ice Cream Social held in late June and aided the health career aims of local students through

another successful round of Health Career Scholarship Awards for 2004.
Sam Daugherty and Dr. Guenther praised the group for their commitment, which has resulted in more that $250,000 in donations to MCGH in the past decade.

MCGH Building Construction Update
 |
Construction work will move inside MCGH the end of August - beginning of September and employees will work hard to direct patients as comfortably as
possible.
We thank the community for their patience and understanding as we move through this exciting, yet hectic time with loud noises and changes.
As of August 1, the concrete has been poured for the penthouse and surgical beams;
|
the steel is completed for the electrical room and their final masonry work is being finished. There have been some challenges with the steel but the south end (gift shop, main entrance and phlebotomy areas) should now be completed by the end of this week. The two-story area, ER and Surgical Services, is currently being enclosed by exterior-grade dry wall following the metal stud work and next week the rubber roof will be added. |
