Share our friendship and activities

The availability of excellent health care is critical to the success and growth of our community. The Mecosta County Medical Center Auxiliary is dedicated to helping provide resources to support the Medical Center’s mission of "advanced care with a personal touch."

We cordially invite you to share this important responsibility at our Medical Center. As a member of the Auxiliary, you may choose from a variety of opportunities to volunteer your time and talents.

The MCMC Auxiliary warmly welcomes new members:

Volunteer Opportunities
For over 50 years, the Auxiliary has hosted its Annual Ice Cream Social, a community-wide celebration of summer fun held each June. Event proceeds provide scholarships for Mecosta County students pursuing health careers.
If you enjoy books, you will have a great time volunteering at our annual Spring and Fall Book Fairs. Volunteers assist in the sales of an extensive selection of books, games, puzzles and gift items with proceeds supporting Medical Center needs.
A long-standing tradition of the Auxiliary, the Annual Christmas Open House heralds the beginning of the holiday season for Medical Center employees and community residents. This Christmas extravaganza has something for everyone with holiday trimmings and gift items that will help you please everyone on your list.
The Medical Center Gift Shop is managed and staffed by Auxiliary volunteers. Proceeds from Gift Shop sales purchase equipment for the Medical Center. The Shop is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and weekends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., making this volunteer opportunity something that fits everyone’s schedule. Please call the Gift Shop at (231)592-4216 to learn more about how you can help.
In addition to volunteer opportunities, the Auxiliary also offers its members enjoyable social events. Each October, the Medical Center hosts the Auxiliary Appreciation Dinner to thank members for their efforts. Medical Center leadership provides an update on current activities and expresses appreciation for the contributions of the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary Spring Luncheon provides members time to get together for pleasant and relaxed celebration of the past year’s accomplishments with drawings for gifts. Announcement of the winners of the annual Men’s and Women’s Bridge Marathon takes place at this event.
