Mecosta Health Services is a subsidiary medical practice of Mecosta County Medical Center. It is designed to provide primary family care for our community both in the office, and at the hospital. Physicians at MHS are available on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |  |

Charles Brummeler, D.O.
Dr. Brummeler is a Board-Certified family practice physician who began practice at the Canadian Lakes office in July 1999. A graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his internship and residency with Metropolitan Hospital, Grand Rapids. Dr. Brummeler offers care to all ages from the newborn to geriatrics, including pregnancy care and delivery.

Anthony Foster, M.D.
Dr. Foster practices at MHS's Big Rapids location, caring for family needs, including pediatrics, obstetrics, adult medicine, and geriatrics. He is Board Certified by AAFP and joined MHS in 2002. He completed medical school at Michigan State University and residency at Saint Mary's Mercy Medical Center in Grand Rapids. Dr. Foster is accepting new patients.

Eva Hecht, M.D.
Dr. Hecht practices at MHS's Canadian Lakes location, providing full family care with obstetrics and hospital medicine. She does office procedures including lumps and bumps, laceration repair, colposcopy, vasectomies, fracture care, and joint injections. Her special interests include well-women care, obstetrics, chronic illness management, and endocrine disorders. Dr. Hecht is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her residency at Munson Family Practice in Traverse City, MI. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Peter Macdonald, M.D.
Dr. Macdonald offers family care in an inpatient and outpatient setting. He has special interest in hospice care and promoting good health and prevention. He is Board Certified by AAFP and joined MHS in 2002. He completed medical school at the University of Dundee, Scotland, with residency at Genesys Regional Medical Centre in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Dr. Macdonald is accepting new patients.

Scott VanderHill, M.D.
Dr. VanderHill is a family practice physician, joining MHS in 1994. Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practitioners, he offers medical care to all ages, from newborn to geriatric, including pregnancy care and delivery.

Thomas Wright, D.O.
Dr. Wright is a Board-Certified family practice physician with many years experience in family medical care, joining MHS in 1999. A graduate of Oakland University in Rochester, MN and the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his internship at Mt. Clemens General Hospital and his residency at Midland Hospital.

Laurel Gorham, CPNP
A Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Laurel offers care to children newborn to age 18 years. She has special interest in Attention Deficit Disorder. Laurel has been with MHS since 1993, and is accepting new patients.

Andria Keusch, PA-C
Ms. Keusch is a Certified Physician Assistant at Mecosta Health Service's Big Rapids location. She provides family medical care for patient of all ages, including routine health and preventative medicine, gynecologic care, and treatment for acute and chronic medical problems. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University, and joined MHS in 2001. Ms. Keusch is currently accepting new patients.

Meredith McDonald, PA-C
Meredith McDonald is a Certified Physician Assistant, working directly with both Family Practice Physicians, Dr. Charles Brummeler and Dr. Eva Hecht in Canadian Lakes. She is available in the office every day except Thursday.
A graduate of the Central Michigan University Physician Assistant program, Meredith's primary training is in OB/GYN, pediatrics, family practice, surgery, sports medicine, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. She has a special interest in family medicine, women’s health and sports medicine.

Tracy Sackett-Foster, PA-C
Tracy practices at MHS in Big Rapids. A Certified Physician Assistant, she has primary training in surgery, rural health, primary care, internal medicine, geriatrics, family practice, OB/GYN, emergency medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, and cardiology. She has been with MHS since 2002 and is accepting new patients.
